Restoring Vision, Renewing Hope: Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife’s Eye Care Outreach Swings into Surgical Phase

In a heartfelt display of compassion and people-driven leadership, Honourable Princess Chinwe Clara Nnabuife (Adaejiejemba) has once again proven her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her people—this time, by lighting the path to vision restoration for hundreds across Orumba North and South Federal Constituency.

The Adaejiejemba Eye Care Outreach, which began on the 2nd and 3rd of April, 2024 at Igwebuike Primary School, Umunze for Orumba South, and continued 4th and 5th of April at Government Primary School, Ajalli for Orumba North, has now reached its most impactful stage: free eye surgeries at New Life Hospital, Umunze, situated along the Umunze–Eziagu Road.

A New Dawn for the Visually Impaired

From the elderly to the young, those who have suffered silently with cataracts, glaucoma, and other sight-threatening conditions now find new hope. Dozens of grandmothers, elderly men and women, and children are now celebrating renewed vision—something they feared might never come.

“For many of these patients,” said a family member of one of the beneficiaries, “this is not just a surgery—it’s a miracle. And Hon. Chinwe Nnabuife is the angel God used to do it.”

A Personal Mission of Mercy

What makes this initiative truly remarkable is that it is not a constituency-funded project. Rather, it is a personal philanthropic intervention—funded entirely from the benevolent heart of Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife herself.

From sensitization and accreditation to diagnosis, treatment, and surgery, every cost is borne by Adaejiejemba. Her aim is clear: to restore sight, dignity, and joy to as many as possible within her beloved constituency.

The Surgical Stage Begins

As of April 5th, 2024, New Life Hospital in Umunze is a hive of life-changing activity. Dozens have already undergone surgery successfully—and hundreds more are set to benefit from the ongoing outreach.

The surgeries mark the climax of weeks of preparation, community mobilization, and expert collaboration with eye care professionals and health practitioners. This is healthcare at its best—free, intentional, and transformational.

A Call to the 31 Benefiting Communities

The message is loud and clear: Help is here. All would-be beneficiaries from the 31 communities in Orumba North and South are encouraged to come forward for sensitization and accreditation at Igwebuike Primary School, Umunze, where the journey to sight begins.

“Your sight matters to me,” Adaejiejemba has often said, “and I will do all I can to help you see the future you deserve.”

Leadership that Cares

Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife continues to define what true service means—not only through policies and representation at the National Assembly, but through deeply human gestures like this. Her vision for Orumba is one of health, dignity, and hope—and this outreach is a clear testament.

As Orumba sings songs of gratitude, the rest of Nigeria watches and learns. This is what representation should look like. This is the heartbeat of leadership. This is Adaejiejemba in action.
